During the pandemic my sister and I were bored, so I started looking up information on starting my own business. I ended up telling my mom and she said, "Come up with a business plan and I'll help you anyway I can." After researching, we presented my mother with our plan. She loved it!

I was called Bougiee by almost everyone, (I'm the more quiet and reserve sister) that's why I decided to make it my brand. My sister chose Heightz because it has so many components to its meaning. Yes, this strictly our definitions and way of life, not trying to offend anyone.  

Bougiee is edgy, urban with a twist of a prissy lifestyle, but still humble a human being with a good heart. Heightz is knowing if you work hard you can elevate in life. Our background allowed us to realize it can mean in the hood or projects, where we experience everything that's on the news everywhere. Plus, we are tall sisters so we have height too.

I personally feel that one of the reasons that we started this business is to not only make money; but to show others that as young black women we started a successful business on our own and worked hard to get where we are.

All we really need from this is to put a smile on people's faces and know that me and my sister did that. Let's not forget the amazing boost from our mother.
